- The Service is intended only for individuals aged 16 or over

- If we become aware that an account is used by someone under 16, we may disable the account and take steps to remove associated data where appropriate and lawful.
- You must provide truthful information about eligibility and age. Misrepresenting your age is a breach of these Terms.
3. Your account and security
- You are responsible for your account and all activity on it.
- You must keep your device and account access secure. Do not share your login credentials.
- You must not create accounts for someone else without permission
- You must not impersonate another person
- You must not use another person's account
- You agree to notify us as soon as possible if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. What Yunix is (and what it is not)
1. Yunix is a location-based social application that allows users to:
- Discover and view other nearby users within a 1.5 km radius
- Interact through in-app features (including messaging and public posts/polls)
- Share content such as messages and images
2. Yunix is not:
- A background location tracking service
- An emergency service
5. Location visibility rules
5.1 Default state
- Your location visibility is OFF by default
- When visibility is OFF, your live location is not broadcast within the Service
5.2 Turning visibility ON
- You may choose to turn visibility ON from within the app
- When visibility is ON, your location will be used to show you to other users, subject to the radius restriction in Section 5.4
5.3 Time limit and automatic expiry
- Visibility may be turned ON for a maximum of two (2) weeks at a time
- Once that period expires, visibility will be automatically turned OFF (you must actively re-enable it if you want to become visible again)
5.4 Radius limitation (1.5 km)
- Only users within approximately 1.5 km of each other are able to see and discover one another in the Service (subject to technical limitations such as GPS accuracy, network conditions, and device settings).
5.5 Turning visibility OFF
- You can turn visibility OFF at any time from within the app and/or by disabling location permissions in your device settings
- Turning visibility OFF does not necessarily delete prior content you shared (such as messages or images), which are governed by your deletion and account controls and by our Privacy Policy.
5.6 Accuracy and limitations
- Location data may be approximate or inaccurate due to GPS/coverage/buildings/device settings.
- You acknowledge that location sharing carries inherent risks, and you agree to use the Service responsibly (see Section 14 on safety).
5.7 Foreground-only location updates
- Yunix does not use “Always” (background) location access or background location tracking.
- Your location is updated only while the app is open and active on your device. If you close the app or it is not active, Yunix will not update your live location again until you open the app.
- Other users may continue to see your most recently updated location until you open the app again, visibility expires, or you turn visibility off.
6. Interactions with non-Marlborough users
- The Service is not restricted to Marlborough College users
- Non-Marlborough users can interact with Marlborough users with no restrictions, provided they meet the age requirement and comply with these Terms
- You acknowledge and accept that:
- You may interact with people you do not know
- Those people may not be affiliated with your school or institution
- Yunix cannot guarantee the identity or intentions of other users
